Facing what seems to be an ever-growing fire season, a new bill introduced by Assemblywoman Dr. Jasmeet Bains, D-Delano, would keep Cal-Fire fully staffed year-round rather than on a seasonal basis.
"January is not typically fire season in the state of California," Bains told the Californian Thursday, referring to the fires currently ravaging parts of Los Angeles.
"With the changes being caused by climate change, every day is fire season," Bains said.
